Photography Lessons taught by Jake Croop
Get creative while you learn to use your camera to its full potential! With these lessons, you’ll learn the ins and outs of setting your camera like a pro. We’ll cover common photography terms; basic gear and explanations of common lenses; understanding shutter speed, aperture and film; when to use auto mode or set things manually; achieving great focus, rules of composition, lighting. We’ll learn about shooting subjects such as: landscape/nature, street, sports/action, portraiture, macro, architecture/interior, large scale object/product. You’ll also have lessons on post production and editing with Photoshop and advanced photo manipulation. These lessons are meant to take away any fear you may have about how to set a DSLR camera so you can focus on taking beautiful photos. Jake is a professional photographer and architecture student specializing in landscape, architectural and event photography. Classes include: lectures on subject matter, field trips, multi-disciplinary critiques, workshops. You must have a camera with manual control capabilities that you can bring with you.
Saturdays from 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Classes will occur about every 3 weeks. This is a drop-in style of class. Each class is its own lesson, so you don't need to attend consecutive days.
