Held in conjunction with the Wyandotte Street Art Fair, The Chestnut Art Fair is a vibrant collection of artists, crafters, performers, live creaters and street food in a fun and casual block party... outside on Chestnut Street and inside the DCA building.
Founded in 1978, the Downriver Council for the Arts (DCA) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) arts and cultural organization that proudly serves nearly 400,000 residents in 21 Downriver communities. The Downriver Council for the Arts’ mission is to enrich the quality of life in the Downriver communities by advocating and promoting the arts and providing opportunities for involvement and participation in arts and cultural activities. We actively support local artists and performers through artistic outreach programs and special promotional opportunities by holding activities in our Arts Center and by operating in the various cities we serve.

We need many people to organize this event. Heck, we even need a volunteer to organize the volunteers! If interested in helping out, please email us with the subject 2017 Chestnut Art Fair Volunteer. This is a great opportunity for persons interested in community development. We have many different areas you can help in. Artist vendors who would like to help, will be compensated with discounted booth space. We need you to be able to utilize social media, occasionally stop in at the DCA before the event and be on site for the event.
