Adrienne Trupiano is a Detroit area based artist. She's earned a bachelor's degree, in Computer Art; Motion Graphics, from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Adrienne has been an adjunct of Animation and Advertising Design at College for Creative Studies, and an adjunct of History of Graphic Design and Animation at Henry Ford College. Throughout her career she's worked in the Detroit advertising and production industry as well as in broadcast design.
While she does love the work she's done for various clients, her passion and peace is found in painting and writing.
“My fascination with finding peace in art and writing is what saved me; it’s what saves me every day.” Adrienne writes, “By painting and writing poetry, I’ve been able to pull out the voices in my head. I made them real, into something I could touch and see, by putting them into a painting or by writing them in a poem.”
Adrienne’s inspiration is found in faith as she studied the lives of prophets and saints. She finds logic and reason in the theory of Carl Jung. She enjoys the spontaneous and dislocated words of Jack Kerouac, and finds a heartfelt empathy and insight into the work of Royal Robertson.
Adrienne works to continually re-establish herself as an artist and writer that is focused on healing.
Adrienne maintains an active performance schedule with poetry readings and speaking engagements based on healing and overcoming mental illness through art and writing.
