Adam and Eve Forever
Artist: Adrienne Trupiano
Adam and Eve Forever | $300 | Mixed Media-Ink and Acrylic | 18”x 25”
Adrienne Trupiano is a Detroit area based artist. She's earned a bachelor's degree, in Computer Art; Motion Graphics, from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Adrienne has been an adjunct of Animation and Advertising Design at College for Creative Studies, and an adjunct of History of Graphic Design and Animation at Henry Ford College. Throughout her career she's worked in the Detroit advertising and production industry as well as in broadcast design.
While she does love the work she's done for various clients, her passion and peace is found in painting and writing.
“My fascination with finding peace in art and writing is what saved me; it’s what saves me every day.” Adrienne writes, “By painting and writing poetry, I’ve been able to pull out the voices in my head. I made them real, into something I could touch and see, by putting them into a painting or by writing them in a poem.”
Adrienne’s inspiration is found in faith as she studied the lives of prophets and saints. She finds logic and reason in the theory of Carl Jung. She enjoys the spontaneous and dislocated words of Jack Kerouac, and finds a heartfelt empathy and insight into the work of Royal Robertson.
Adrienne works to continually re-establish herself as an artist and writer that is focused on healing.
Adrienne maintains an active performance schedule with poetry readings and speaking engagements based on healing and overcoming mental illness through art and writing.

I am a jewelry artist based outside Detroit Michigan who is inspired by all things historical and nature related. I work only in solid sterling silver wire with very little to no heat application. I enjoy the challenge of making a piece with wire and not soldering any ends or pieces together. I work with both precious and semi precious stones as well as Swarovski crystals, as I think mother nature sometimes has more beautiful art than that of any art museum in the world. I work with the stones, rather than against them, to accentuate their beauty rather than overpower it. The stones are the centerpieces not my work.

In ‘18/’19/’20 displayed locally in juried exhibits of Artists’ Society of Dearborn (won 1st place in photography in ’19), Dearborn Community Arts Council (won honorable mention in ’20), Mount Clemens Anton Art Center (won Director’s Adult Pick in ’20), Muskegon Museum of Art, City of Livonia, Detroit Scarab Club, Midland Center for the Arts, Northville Art House & Three Cities Art Club. In ‘19 was also included in national juried exhibits at galleries in MA, CT, VA, WA, OR, IL, NC, CO, NY; now in ’20 juried into shows in TX, MS, MN, CA, KS, FL. My career evolved from being a board artist with a degree in art to a digital artist to becoming a graduate in e-Business and managing large digital design teams. I enjoyed creating online ecosystems for corporate America and was quite successful. I loved the people on my teams and got to know colleagues and cultures from all over the world.
At this turn, my goal is to explore my God given talent for art in a hands on way. I stepped away from my career in the digital world and have reinvented myself as a mixed media artist - exploring fluid art mixed with traditional art and I love it. Some of my projects bring the underwater world to the surface in a creative way as they incorporate photo’s that we have taken while we were scuba diving. Some incorporate wild life from my part of the world to yours and beyond. More is yet to come and will evolve as I experiment.
The 2020 pandemic gave me the time to focus on my growth as an artist. I had to pause my life, stay home and had no excuse not to dig in and get going with my artwork. While my heart breaks for the less fortunate during this time, I am also grateful for my progress as an artist of mixed techniques. I am grateful to the YouTube artists who have shared their methods and chemistry online and I am grateful to God for my health and my talent.
If you enjoy my work, want more of it and want to buy prints, all profits will be donated to charity during the 2020 Pandemic. So please send me your feedback and let me know if you are interested in buying prints on FB Messenger.
Thank you for reading.

21st Century Pin-Ups Collection
Artist: Mono V. D’angelo
21st Century Pin-Ups Collection | $3500 | Pastel | 18”x24”
The art form known as “pin-ups” began in the middle decades of the 20th century (before the internet), highlighting sexy, playful ‘ pin-up girls’, as they were typically called.
World class artists like Earl Moran, Gil Elvstrom and Alberto Vargas found fame in painting celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Jane Mansfield and Rita Hayworth, to name but a few. Magazines such as Playboy, Swank and Man were known for their pin up girls.
At the peak of its popularity, pin-up art could be found on calendars, posters and advertising. Some pin-ups even found their way onto the sides of WWII bombers, serving as good luck charms.
For ArtPrize 2020, I spent two years designing this collection of six pastel painting celebrating the genre. My goal was to create a 21st century version of the famed pin-up girls art. But rather than sultry and voluptuous, I sought to highlight today’s athletic and beautiful women doing their thing.
Regrettably, ArtPrize was yet another victim of COVID 19 and has been cancelled for the foreseeable future. It set the bar for high quality art exhibitions and the art world will be without one of it’s greatest advocates.
