The Downriver Council for the Arts (DCA) has two dedicated visual gallery spaces. Exhibitions in our Main Gallery hosts solo, groups, retrospectives, and themed shows where the artwork is for sale and often times open call for entries. The DCA has space on the lower level of our facility dedicated to hosting art exhibits for non-profit organizations, school and educational institutions, and community associations. Scheduling of these exhibits often coincide with our main gallery exhibits, as well as performance based art in the auditorium in hopes that patrons will explore and perhaps engage in a new experience. All exhibits and receptions are free and open to the public. Our goal is to create complete artist and patron experiences with a visual art exhibit, artist demonstrations, panel discussions, educational and performing arts opportunities. If you have an outstanding idea for an exhibit, please click here to download the proposal guidelines and submission form.

The DCA also provides opportunities to exhibit off site at satellite galleries in the community. Read more about that here.

The DCA’s Gallery Committee volunteers possess a love and appreciation of art, a flexible attitude, and a winning personality, all of which increases the success of our exhibit space. The committee is open to anyone interested in promoting the arts by their active participation. If you would like to help out, please click here to read the types of responsibilities our Gallery Committee handles, then send us email at dc4arts@downriverarts.org.
