The Downriver Council for the Arts invites artists to explore the profound, complex, and evocative language of color through our upcoming exhibit, The Language of Blue. Works will explore the dimensions of the color blue ranging from moody and dark to peaceful and bright. The color blue can symbolize strength, contemplation, coolness and stability. It evokes a spectrum of emotions, from serenity and tranquility to melancholy and longing. Blue can represent freedom and vastness, as well as the intimate depths of the human spirit. Through this exhibit, we seek to celebrate blue’s versatility as both subject and symbol. Let blue be your muse, your metaphor, your mood. Whether your work whispers softly or shouts boldly, we invite you to join us in exploring The Language of Blue.
