After a hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic, we were happy to return to our original venue in 2022, and we're excited to be back again for Dama in the D in 2023.
This will be following the 10-year anniversary of business for Glow Fish Studios, the main/original Dama in the D sponsor. Excited for Downriver Kendama Team to continue teaming up with them to bring you one of Midwest's oldest and finest kendama gatherings.

If you've never been to a kendama event before, we promise this is one you will want to experience.
With the great vibes at our events comes the fun but competitive environment, with tricks that, by now, we hope returning players have learned to practice ahead of time. New players and all skill levels are always welcome and encouraged to compete though!

This year there will be competitions for:
Beginner and Intermediate players with separate trick ladders for players to race to complete first. There will be a freestyle competition with an opportunity to qualify and compete against eight different players, among the most talented professionals on the planet.

There will also be TWO open divisions, one directed toward amateur players that consider themselves advanced players, and one for our highest level of kendama play featuring top professional players representing different teams throughout the world, and whoever is willing to challenge them.
