Acoustic Open Mic - 11/09/19
Greetings! East River Folk Society, the original downriver acoustic open mic begins it’s 31 season in our new home, The Downriver Council for the Arts, 81 Chestnut, Wyandotte. Please join us for an evening of folk, acoustic and traditional music at 7:00pm. If you or someone you know is interested in performing, please come sign up for our open mic between 6:00 and 6:45. We have 8 to 10 open mic spots available. Open mic performers will perform 2 to 3 songs depending on the number of open mic performers.
We are returning to our original format from 30 years ago and including a special guest set after the intermission. Our special guest is an old friend of ERFS, Rise Again. The 5 piece group will perform an extended set of folk and folk rock with great harmonies and instrumentals.
Our host for the evening is one of the original founders of ERFS, Mike Mullen.
Admission for this event is $3.00 for DCA and East River Folk Society members. For all non-members, including performers, admission is $5.00.
We will continue each month through May 2020 on the second Saturday of the month.
