CANCELLED - Acoustic Open Mic - 03/14/20
Out of an abundance of caution we are canceling the East River Folk Society Open Mic scheduled for March 14. However, we would like to hold a FaceBook Open Mic for our member performers. Please record a video or two of you playing the pieces that you were to perform this Saturday at the DCA and email them to: eastriverfolkpresident@gmail.com. We will post them beginning at 7:00 pm Saturday evening.
Thank you all for your understanding and please record your songs and email them before 5:00pm Saturday.
Regards,
Mike Mullen and Rick Pitts

East River Folk Society presents Acoustic Open Mic
Second Saturdays at 7pm
Join East River Folk Society in it’s 31st season in their new home at the Downriver Council for the Arts, 81 Chestnut, Wyandotte.
Please join us for an evening of folk, acoustic and traditional music at 7:00pm. If you or someone you know is interested in performing, please come sign up for our open mic between 6:00 and 6:45. We have 8 to 10 open mic spots available. Open mic performers will perform 2 to 3 songs depending on the number of open mic performers.
We are returning to our original format from 30 years ago and including a special guest set after the intermission.
Our Host for March is Wyandotte resident Chris Martin. Chris who is new to ERFS this season is a powerful singer and performer and brings great energy to our open mics. Chris will start off the evening with some songs and then introduce the open mic performers.
For those of you who like Celtic Music, you will enjoy our special guests for March, KilMullen, with Andy Kilburn on Fiddle and Mike Mullen on Celtic Harp, Mountain Dulcimer and Guitar. The third member of KilMullen, Kim Kilburn is not available but rumor has it that Andy and Mike may be joined by their own special guests…. who could that be???? We hope to see you all there in March with your Irish socks and sweaters on!
Admission for this event is $3.00 for DCA and East River Folk Society members. For all non-members, including performers, admission is $5.00.
We will continue each month through May 2020 on the second Saturday of the month.
