Gallery Fundraiser - For the Birds!
The Downriver Council for the Arts (DCA) invites you to participate in our For the Birds! gallery fundraiser. As you know, the Downriver Council for the Arts has hosted many events and classes for all ages, contributing to the cultural life of the downriver area and beyond. This important fundraiser will help raise money to continue and expand our programs and maintain our gallery spaces.
Here’s how the For the Birds! fundraiser works:
We are asking artists to create works of art in the form of birdhouses. We have raw wooden birdhouses available for you to pick up or you can use or create your own. You can use any medium of your choice, but please keep in mind that these could be used outside. This is open to DCA members and non-members. Artists can decorate as many birdhouses as you wish, but we ask that you only take one at a time and return the completed one before picking up another.
Pick-up birdhouses through Saturday, May 18, 2019. Download and fill out this agreement and submit it to the DCA office no later than May 18.
The finished birdhouse must be dropped off at the DCA by Tuesday, June 18.
The artwork will be considered a generous tax deduction donated to DCA – a letter for tax purposes will be provide upon request.
Each birdhouse will be priced at $20 each and available for purchase.
The birdhouses will be displayed starting Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 6-8pm at our special Members Only Preview Party for our Annual Members Art Exhibit.
The DCA is located in Wyandotte, a family friendly public facility. Subject matter must be appropriate for general audience
