Word is Art 04/2020- Online Exhibition

From Adrienne Trupiano:

I'm so excited to share my very first curated online art exhibit with you. This is a yearly show that happens at the Downriver Council for the Arts but since we are all on lock down, I curated and built the show virtually.

Thank you to all the artists who submitted their work.

There is an online virtual gallery that you can walk through, but you HAVE TO BE PATIENT. Once you click to "enter the exhibition" you have to kind of hang out for several minutes while the images load on the wall.

Grab some wine and cheese to snack on while the images load...it will be just like a real art show.

Description:
This exhibition is a celebration of National Poetry Month. Artists are invited to create based on the theme "Word is Art"; artists were asked to interpret these words as an art piece that closely represents the artist's personal artistic vision. This art exhibit was open to any and all forms of media; painting, illustration, installation, design, photography, animation, video, or sculpture.

Exhibit Curator – Adrienne Trupiano is a multimedia artist and designer as well as a spoken word poet and writer. Adrienne has taught animation and design at College for Creative Studies and Henry Ford College while also working in the Detroit production and television industry as an art director and motion graphic designer. Downriver Council for the Arts has been grateful to have Adrienne as a youth instructor and mentor for many years.
