Art of Music - Online and In Person 11/2021

An art exhibit inspired by music.

Opening Reception: Friday, November 19, 2021 from 6-8pm

With special guest performers:

Vanessa McCully is a sophomore at Taylor High School. She has been taking voice lessons since 2018 and has won numerous awards with The Michigan Music Association and American Music Guild. This year she will be competing in the open championship division at both competitions in all music genres.

Lydia Duran in an 8th grader at Davison Middle School. She just started taking singing lessons this year and has such a natural talent in music. She is also very active in sports at her school.

Returning for encore performances are Jaelin Szydlowski and Ava Cheff. Both students are stand out performers. Jaelin has learned how to play guitar this year and hopes to pursue writing music as a profession. Ava has high hopes of making it to Broadway and is active in Trenton HS’s  theater program.

Exhibit Run: November 19, 2021 – December 4, 2021

The Art of Music is open to artists whose work is inspired by music, fitting all themes and genres for both visual artists and musicians. This exhibition calls for varied media; installation, collage, painting, text-based work, sculpture, and video. It examines the ways in which music inspires artists.

  • FREE for students ages 14-22 : in-person + online exhibit
