Wooden Serving Tray Workshop- 03/30/19
Create a charming wooden serving tray!
Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 12-2:30pm
Join us at this Downriver Council for the Arts’ workshop to create a charming wooden serving tray with instructor Patty. Wooden serving trays are the perfect addition to any décor and you can use these to contain your craft supplies, to serve morning mimosas, or to rest on your guest bed to welcome your visitors. You will start with bare wood and be guided through the steps to create your custom home decor piece, which will be unique and different because you will have the opportunity to customize it with paint colors, images, stains and preferred level of distressing.
Patty uses a specific brand of paint called The Couture Collection. Paint Couture is a zero VOC product, environmentally safe, 100% acrylic based paint, without any of the highly carcinogenic PVA (polyvinyl alcohol). The paint is formulated to have great adhesion properties to all kinds of smooth surfaces. In most cases Paint Couture is a far easier product to work with than chalk-based products. Paint Couture will dry very hard, is extremely durable and it will not show the wear chalk type paints show so quickly.
You will learn to use different mediums and techniques while choosing from 3 different designs and coordinating colors.
Cost: $30 each class. All materials provided.
