Gel Printing Workshop - 5/14/19
Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 pm
In celebration of National Print Day in May, we hope you will join us for this Gel Printing Workshop where we will learn about mono-printing without the use of a printing press. Every print created is unique and every print beautiful. Come prepared to become addicted to this process! Finished prints are wonderful to use in journals, mixed media projects, collage, greeting cards, ATC’s and more. During the workshop, we will explore various techniques using textures, stencils, stamps, fabric and found objects to add variety and interest to our prints.
This workshop is made possible in part by a generous donation from Gel Press®. The Gel Press® brand represents the discipline of science meeting the discipline of art – and from that meeting emerged the first permanent gel mono-printing plate. More info and products can be found at www.gelpress.com.
Make sure you help us celebrate by taking lots of photos and hashtag: #printdayinmay #gelpresspd2019 #dc4arts
Most supplies will be provided, however you may want to bring a few bottles of acrylic craft paint if you want to work with specific colors, a brayer if you have one, NON-LATEX gloves (if you want to wear them) and a paint shirt/apron. This can be a messy workshop!
Cost: $20 DCA members & $25 for non-members
Open to ages 15 and up. Space is limited! You must register and pre-pay by May 11. Call: 734-720-0671 or purchase online below (online includes a $2 service charge).
