Pysanky Decorating Workshops
We had so much fun last year, we’ve brought back Pysanky Decorating - and we’re offering 4 workshop dates!
Come practice the ancient craft of Pysanky. Ukrainian and Carpatho-Rusyn egg decorating examples will be available for your inspiration. Learn about Ukrainian and Carpatho-Rusyn egg decorating, the materials used, and then try your hand at the art. We supply the eggs, and all other tools necessary, you supply the patience and creativity! Never decorated pysanky before? Don’t worry, we will share our tips and tricks with you. No need to bring anything just come ready be creative. Please note: The dyes used to create traditional pysanky are not edible.
Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:00pm
Workshops are offered on the following dates: Feb. 29, Mar. 7, Mar. 14, Mar 21
Instructor: Katie Russell
Ages: 10 and up. Artists under 13 need to be accompanied by an adult. (for slightly younger artists, please call the DCA)
Cost: $20 per person per workshop
Registration available online below, in person or over the phone. Deadline to register is two days before workshop. If you are redeeming a gift card, please call the office to register.
