Intro to Photography for Kids - May 2021
Students will learn the fundamentals of artistic photography. We will briefly discuss the history of the artform, then jump into the difference between a snapshot and an artistic photograph. While improving their photography skills, they’ll learn about lighting and composition by creating weekly projects which help them start to think before capturing the image. Students will also learn to critique images after the fact. Come find out how lighting, composition and thought come into play in creating photographs that convey your perspectives! Bringing your camera or image taking device (tablet, smartphone, etc.) to each class is a must! In class activities are to be expected. Limit of 10 students per each class. Facemasks and social distancing are mandatory. Weather permitting, some outside time is possible.
