The Downriver Council for the Arts (DCA) invites artists to submit work to our exhibit, Macrocosm: Landscape as Art. Macrocosm is everything that exists: it's another word for the universe or cosmos. It’s summertime in southeast Michigan and we want to see your best landscape art. Landscape art is typically described in which the subjects are of nature.
Have you been plein air painting? Taking photos of luscious greenery? Maybe something more conceptual? While every artist has his own style of creating landscape art, this genre is typically grouped into three categories: representational, impressionistic and abstract.
Please note that if we are not allowed to be open to the public when this exhibit runs, we will host this exhibit online.
Call for Art: Entry Deadline is Tuesday, July 21, 2020 by 9pm
